Luxury Vinyl Plank
Luxury vinyl plank cleaning, done on a yearly rhythm

Why plank vinyl still needs a deep clean
Luxury vinyl plank looks like wood and shrugs off spills, so it gets treated as a floor that looks after itself. It does not. The surface carries a texture, and the seams between planks and the grain pressed into the print are exactly where mop water leaves soil behind.
Over months a dull film builds from cleaner residue, tracked-in grit and kitchen grease, all pressed flat by traffic. A daily mop spreads that film thinner. It does not take it up.

A pH-neutral cleaner and a commercial-grade scrubber
Spectrum uses a pH-neutral cleaner, gentle on the wear layer, together with a commercial-grade floor scrubber that works the cleaner in and lifts it away in the same pass. The scrubber is what separates this from a mop: it takes the dirty water off the floor instead of moving it around.
That matters in a kitchen or an entry, where plank meets tile, thresholds and baseboards, and where a mop tends to leave a tide line. The cleaned path shows clearly against the plank beside it.
Once a year
Spectrum recommends a professional cleaning once a year for luxury vinyl plank. Yearly is a rhythm that catches the film before it becomes the floor's normal colour and you stop noticing it.
Between visits, sweep or vacuum on a hard-floor setting, damp-mop with a pH-neutral cleaner, and keep a mat at each door. Call (301) 662-8200 when the planks start to look hazy in the light from the window.

Where plank vinyl meets the rest of the house
Plank vinyl is a favourite in kitchens, entries and basements, which means it sits next to other floors that need their own care. A kitchen often pairs plank with tile and grout, a hallway turns into hardwood, and the bedrooms upstairs are usually carpet.
Spectrum cleans every one of those, so the yearly plank visit can be the same call that gets the rest of the house looked at. The office answers at (301) 662-8200, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
